A unique woodcarving experience in Pembrokeshire
Escape to Begelly House and experience the ancient art of woodcarving in the grounds of a secluded 18th Century Gentleman's Residence, situated in the stunning Pembrokeshire countryside. The day’s course will be led by Neil, a seasoned sculptor with many years of experience under his belt. With his skillful guidance, you can quickly learn the basics of this fascinating technique and become confident with using a chisel and mallet. The end result will be a carving of your very own to take home with you.

The course schedule will be as follows:
9.30am: Introduction to the House and Studio (with refreshments).
10:00am: Start of course introductions - safety instructions, using chisels, the wood grain, a practice piece and choosing your own piece.
11:15am: Refreshments.
11.30am: Carving with one-to-one tuition.
1:00pm: Lunch.
1:30pm: Carving with one-to-one tuition.
3:00pm: Refreshments.
3:15pm: Carving with one-to-one tuition, finishing techniques and finishing oils
4:30pm: Finish.
Notes
Your voucher is valid for 10 months for one person. There will be a maximum of 7 other people on the course. All materials and equipment will be provided on the day, refreshments will also be provided. All dates are subject to availability.
