Agenda
This fun and fascinating experience for two is perfect for any fishing enthusiasts! You’ll start your experience in a fully-equipped lakeside fishing cabin, where an expert will teach you all about the fishing tackle, the flies used, which fish to use the flies for and how to fish for them, how to read the water and how to cast a fly. You’ll then be able to put what you’ve learned into practice, as you spend part of the day fly fishing for trout from the banks of the stunning Rutland Water, and part of the day in the heart of the water fishing from a motor boat. Depending on how successful you are, you’ll be able to take up to two fish home with you, which will be prepared and packed for you – and even if you don’t manage to catch anything, you’ll still receive certificates to show your friends! You will also receive light refreshments throughout your experience.
Covering 3,500 acres and boasting around 26 miles of shoreline, Rutland Water is Europe’s largest fishing lake – and is home to a large number of world-class trout. One of England’s most beautiful rural areas, this stunning environment presents a unique and tranquil fishing experience that you’ll never forget.
